The game's story remains largely a mystery, as does its protagonists, but we do know it's being developed internally at LucasArts, who are taking advantage of what Industrial Light & Magic, Lucasfilm Animation and Skywalker Sound can all offer to the production. Seemingly drawing from elements of the Uncharted series with third-person, set-piece focus action sequences highlighted by beautiful visuals, Star Wars 1313 brings prospective players to the underbelly of Coruscant, the most overpopulated and busy planet in the Star Wars universe, for a story involving a criminal conspiracy.

The trailer, above, highlights much of what we saw at E3 2012, where the lines between cinematic and actual gameplay are blurred. LucasArts is bringing their in-development Star Wars title to Cologne, Germany for this year's Gamescom event and as such, they've launched the very first Star Wars 1313 gameplay trailer. That game is Star Wars 1313 and when myself and another Game Ranter sat down inside of a little mock-up space ship for the behind-closed-doors demo we were happily impressed, so much so that we nominated Star Wars 1313 in our E3 awards. What we did get from LucasArts at E3 2012 was a brand new IP within the Star Wars universe that unlike the last few games in the brand, aimed to offer an experience that can compete with the best the industry has to offer.

It wasn't even a new Jedi Knight or Rogue Squadron. President of LucasFilm Kathleen Kennedy said in 2015 that the game was “gold” and that they don’t “want to throw any of that stuff away.” She also noted that they were “spending a lot of time looking at, pouring through, discussing, and may very well develop those things further.” However, that was almost seven years ago and with all of the other Star Wars games in production, it seems unlikely that 1313 will make any official reappearance any time soon and will only live on through leaks like these.Httpv://It wasn't Star Wars: Battlefront 3. Artist Gus Mendonça also released some concept art of the game online a few years ago, too. That same year, Reddit user LifeByTheSword also uploaded a screen shot of Boba Fett on the same planet and features the same HUD and general look of the leaked footage. In 2020, Christopher Scott, who was a lead environmental artist on the game, uploaded some artwork on his ArtStation page, which also featured Coruscant. An animation test was uploaded to YouTube in 2016 and had some of the same footage seen at the end of the leaked gameplay. This is not the first time Star Wars 1313 has leaked out onto the internet. There are many unfinished textures in this footage and it’s only available in 480p, meaning it is a little blurry. The video then ends with some unrelated snippets of other parts of the game like dramatic enemy death animations, more platforming, melee brawling, and various other animations that all takes place in a gray testing environment. It then does a hard cut to an on-foot chase that is reminiscent of Uncharted as Fett pursues his target and completes various acrobatic feats along the way.

The video shows the bounty hunter walking through some market on Coruscant, a planet that has been featured or mentioned in other Star Wars media like Rogue One, Clone Wars, and The Phantom Menace.
