


Job requires periods on feet including walking, standing, climbing steps, and climbing ladders up to 120 feet.Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local food and feed safety standards.Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Process Safety Management.Prior leadership experience with progressively advancing level of leadership responsibilities.4+ years of experience in process, project, or plant engineering.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Agricultural Engineering or related engineering field.Champion continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.Collaborate and partner with management and other departments to assure engineering objectives and results are in alignment with the enterprise strategies.Work extended hours during maintenance shutdowns and project commissioning.

Champion a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies while assuring the timely filing of all required reports and maintain compliance with OSHA and all other applicable government regulations.Supervise staff in the installation of equipment and systems, when needed, in an existing facility where the coordination of process ties in with an operation that must run 24/7 to meet production goals.Make recommendations for replacement or modification of existing equipment and systems.Ensure that staff maintains all plant engineering records and documents any changes or modifications Provide supervision of staff as they provide operations with technical analysis, troubleshooting and research.Direct staff in facilitating minor changes and additions to PLC and other process control programs.Coordinate staff work with other functional engineering departments Project, Process, and Controls Engineering departments.Ensure capital projects assigned to staff are justified based on business need, improvement or government regulation, while managing project safety, quality, timeline, and budget.Provide work direction and supervision to resident Process Engineers located in our Global Grain and processing facilities.The ideal candidate will be located at one of our grain processing plant locations: Rochelle, IL, Annawan, IL, Fairmont, MN, Hallock, MN, or Mankato, MN. You must be detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. In addition, the process engineering manager will play a key role in leading continuous improvement efforts to drive value for the organization.
